The process of aging impacts us all; whether you are in your 20s managing new roles and relationships, your 30s as newlyweds or new parents, your 40s figuring out how to navigate a recent divorce or new diagnosis, your 50s becoming caregivers for your own parents, or your 60s and above trying to adjust to retirement and those coveted "Golden Years." Managing the stressors of life & aging can be a real challenge. Explore how Kimberly Fazzini, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and aging life care expert can educate, guide, and support you through whatever challenges life presents.

Kimberly Fazzini
MSW, LCSW, CCS

Meet Kimberly.

Kimberly Fazzini is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working and studying in the healthcare field since 2009. Kimberly is a proud Alumni of Rutgers University and Douglass College where she completed both her graduate and undergraduate degrees.  Kimberly completed her Master of Social Work at the nationally ranked Rutgers Graduate School of Social Work, and her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the Bloustein School of Public Planning and Policy.

Before opening her own private practice, Kimberly spent many years working in hospital emergency departments, acute rehabilitation centers, and community mental health clinics. Additionally, Kimberly worked in the private sector where she was the executive director of a geriatric care management company providing psychotherapy and care management services in client's private homes, as well as, assisted living and long-term care facilities. Through these educational and professional experiences Kimberly has become an expert about navigating the healthcare world, understanding the many challenges of aging through different phases of life, and the emotional toll it can take on the individual and their loved ones.

Kimberly takes great pride in the services she provides and hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of those she works with. Kimberly completed her National Association of Social Workers Trauma certification in August of 2021. She is passionate about providing care to those experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, and caregiver burnout. By utilizing therapeutic tools and theories such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy, Kimberly educates and empowers her clients to identify, understand, and express their emotions to discover their most authentic self.

In addition to working with clients, Kimberly is dedicated to supporting and empowering new clinicians as they enter their careers in social work. She completed the required education hours and became a National Association of Social Workers Certified Clinical Supervisor in June 2024. She is excited to be offering supervision and having the opportunity to share her knowledge and experiences with aspiring clinicians.

Kimberly has a passion for service and helping others outside of the clinical setting too. Since 2012, she has been on the board of directors for Jenni's Toys, a locally created NJ based charity in response to Superstorm Sandy that supports families and children in need during Christmas & the holiday seasons. Jenni's Toys works closely with local children's hospitals, domestic violence women's & children shelters, the foster care system, and a number of school districts to ensure every child can enjoy the spirit of the holiday season.

In 2014 Kimberly completed two years of service through AmeriCorps and the ReBuild NJ program where she was a site leader and Disaster Case Manager. She was responsible for coordinating volunteers from across the country throughout Ocean and Monmouth counties to assist with rebuilding homes destroyed by Superstorm Sandy and assisting families with securing additional funding and other resources through FEMA and the Ocean Country Long Term Recovery Group. As a proud, long-time resident of Toms River, there is nothing she enjoys more than giving back to the community she grew up in and is now raising her own children in. When Kimberly is not working with clients or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with family and friends at the beach/boardwalk, concerts, Rutgers basketball games (Go Knights!), and local community events.
